My husband & I opened up an antique store in Ft. Langley where I grew up. Dealing with items devoted to craftsmanship, simple beauty, & whispers of stories past really tugged at my heart. While antiquing I became mesmerized with a 19th century painting by Petrus Van Schendel. He was of the Romantic Period & had an obsession with light, especially night scenes. It was then that I knew I had to start painting.
